About Us: Welcome to WileyWays Mastiffs and we hope that you enjoy visiting our mastiff family. If you are considering adding a mastiff to your family please be sure to research the breed thoroughly before doing so since mastiffs are not the breed for everyone. Some things to consider about the mastiff breed are that they can be very expensive to have, love and own. Medical bills are higher due to their size, they do shed even though they are a relatively short coated breed, they do drool and make keeping your house spotless pretty much impossible, they grow very large, have a shorter life span usually due to their size, and are more prone to giant breed health problems (hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, etc). My husband and I have enjoyed sharing our home with our mastiff family since 1991 when we became involved with this noble breed and we enjoy showing competitively in conformation. We are focusing our breeding program on temperament, soundness, health and type. A stable temperament is extremely important in a breed this size and we also genetically test our mastiffs for hereditary problems. Of course, sadly, this does not guarantee that every puppy that we produce will be perfect but I feel that it is the most responsible way to try to produce sound/healthy puppies. We want wonderful, loving homes for our mastiff babies where they will be treated as members of the family and for the new owners to stay in contact with us about their babies: through the good times and the bad. If you would like more information about the mastiff breed or the wonderful mastiffs that share our lives with us feel free to contact us. Sincerely,
Denise and Scott Wiley
